With the aim of being the industry leader in terms of technology and service both now and in the future, the company offers solutions for all stages of a building project – from the initial idea, design, fabrication and installation through to the use of residential and commercial buildings worldwide.
The family company Schüco develops and sells system solutions for building envelopes made from aluminium, steel and PVC-U. Its product portfolio comprises window, door, façade, security and sun shading systems as well as powerful machinery and software for calculation and fabrication. Customer-oriented service and a 360° cycle of sustainability complement the product portfolio. In addition, the company offers comprehensive consultancy services from construction partners, which include partner fabricators, architects, developers and investors.
High-tech products: windows, doors and façades
People in industrialised nations spend the majority of their lives in buildings, which makes it all the more important that building technologies are well designed, convenient and secure. Energy-efficient, automated building envelopes meet these requirements. Windows, doors and façades from Schüco are high-tech products which are used in every climate zone and all building types. If required, they can provide burglar and fire resistance and offer sound reduction, as well as withstand heavy gunfire. The technology behind them cannot be seen, but is very effective and durable.
Central task: research and development
Schüco develops products in its own accredited Technology Center (TC). With an area of 7800 m2 and the largest indoor façade test rig in Europe, it is one of the leading test centres for windows, doors and façades. Right from the start of product development, this allows Schüco to fabricate, test, continually improve and validate new systems, individual components or special solutions. At the same time, the TC is the ideal platform for training specialists and engineers.
Spotlight on: digitalisation of the value added chain
The digital world has long been a reality – in construction, too. For a long time, Schüco has been providing assistance to architects, developers, façade fabricators and installers in the form of digital support for detailed design, planning, calculation, fabrication and installation processes. Now the company is taking the next step on its digital roadmap, with the aim of optimising the entire value added chain in construction. To this end, Schüco is networking all processes, from the design and planning of a building project through to fabrication, installation, use and maintenance, as well as recycling, and is continuously developing new tools, services and platforms for this.
360° sustainability – from the idea to recycling
In the construction sector, sustainability means designing, constructing and operating a property in such a way that it is ecologically, economically and socioculturally future-proof. This requires high-quality, innovative products and solutions which conserve resources. As a driving force behind innovation, here Schüco offers concepts and product solutions with the best possible support for investors, architects, building consultants and metal fabricators in all phases of a project. In practice, this means support including advice and designs with sustainable systems and environmental product declarations through to the demolition and recycling of the building envelope.
